Role Overview

  • Mentor Community Affairs field staff on hydrocarbon resource overview and relevant legislation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with laws.
  • Interface with Operations, Lands, Security & Environment to address landowner issues.
  • Provide functional support to Field Teams for effective Community Affairs operations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of hydrocarbon resource law.
  • Understanding of local government systems.
  • Skilled negotiator with experience in landowner negotiations.
  • Strong contract administration skills.
  • Leadership and influencing capabilities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual multi-cultural team environment.
  • Self-starter with results orientation.

Education & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree) in relevant fields such as social anthropology, communication for development, or community development.
  • Experience in related fields is advantageous.
