Role Overview
- Mentor Community Affairs field staff on hydrocarbon resource overview and relevant legislation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with laws.
- Interface with Operations, Lands, Security & Environment to address landowner issues.
- Provide functional support to Field Teams for effective Community Affairs operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of hydrocarbon resource law.
- Understanding of local government systems.
- Skilled negotiator with experience in landowner negotiations.
- Strong contract administration skills.
- Leadership and influencing capabilities.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual multi-cultural team environment.
- Self-starter with results orientation.
Education & Experience
- Tertiary qualification (Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree) in relevant fields such as social anthropology, communication for development, or community development.
- Experience in related fields is advantageous.
