Our client, a major Oil and gas company, is looking for a Compliance Specialist to work on a 12 months contract REMOTLY


 

Job Summary:

The Corporate Compliance Specialist is responsible for promoting a culture of integrity and accountability across the organization. This role oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs designed to prevent, detect, and address non-compliant, unethical, or improper conduct.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate reports and allegations of misconduct in a timely, objective, and confidential manner
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance standards, policies, and procedures
  • Establish internal controls to mitigate risks related to regulatory non-compliance and unethical behavior
  • Ensure compliance standards and expectations are effectively communicated and embedded throughout the organization
  • Lead training and awareness initiatives to promote ethical conduct and regulatory adherence
  • Monitor and assess ongoing compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Recommend corrective actions and improvements based on findings from investigations and audits
  • Collaborate with leadership to foster a strong culture of ethics and compliance
  • Maintain documentation and reporting related to compliance activities and investigations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in compliance, ethics, risk management, or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and corporate governance practices
  • Excellent investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional – CCEP)
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
