Job Purpose – Construction Division Manager
- Manage the planning, preparation, and execution of all aspects of construction requirements, ensuring key objectives are achieved or exceeded.
- Ensure constructability and installability of design using established industry best practices.
- Effectively manage the construction phase through strong interfaces with both client and contractor teams.
- Oversee fabrication activities of offshore structures up to sailaway, ensuring objectives are safely delivered within approved scope and schedule.

- Responsible for contract stewardship and ensuring delivery aligns with project requirements and risk-based decision-making.
- Key challenge lies in maintaining strong interfaces between operations, logistics, and contractor teams to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution
Key Job Accountabilities
- Ensure delivery of construction scope in line with agreed schedule and budget, maintaining alignment with project management teams on execution strategies and requirements.
- Act as a focal point for construction site safety, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across all activities.
- Lead and manage fabrication and construction teams to meet defined project targets.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and project management systems, assessing contractor capability and addressing capability gaps.
- Manage execution schedules and critical milestones, including recovery planning and mitigation of delays.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project delivery and interface management.
- Implement Management of Change (MOC) processes, incorporating lessons learned and continuous improvement.
- Support audits and contribute to improvements in contract and subcontract management processes.
- Ensure compliance with construction execution plans, specifications, and procedures, promoting best practice and operational efficiency.
- Monitor fabrication yard progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in large-scale construction projects within the oil & gas or heavy industry sectors.
- At least 3 years in a management-level role overseeing construction, fabrication, or project execution.
- Experience working with operators, EPC contractors, or major construction organisations.
- Strong track record delivering complex projects and managing contractors and subcontractors.
Technical and Business Skills
- Extensive knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, and safety requirements related to large-scale fabrication and construction.
- Experience with offshore and/or onshore facilities and fabrication yard operations.
- Strong understanding of execution methodologies and risks associated with major energy infrastructure projects.
- Experience operating within large, complex organisations across projects, operations, or related functions.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects safely and efficiently, with excellent construction safety performance.
