Join our dynamic team as a Construction Piping Supervisor, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing piping construction activities for a leading player in the oil and gas industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work in Luanda, Angola, ensuring compliance with HSSE and quality standards while collaborating with various stakeholders to drive project success.

Role Overview

  • Ensure all construction and commissioning activities are executed according to approved plans, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Supervise daily operations of the piping discipline, including workforce management, material handling, and equipment usage.
  • Enforce HSSE protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with company regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate between the construction team, project management, and other stakeholders to resolve issues or conflicts.
  • Provide guidance and resolve challenges to achieve seamless transitions and handovers.
  • Implement changes to the construction plan or scope, assessing impacts on the project.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the project management team, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Construction expertise: Strong understanding of construction and commissioning management processes.
  • Piping knowledge: Proficient in piping management and risk-based inspection.
  • HSSE compliance: Familiarity with HSSE quality regulatory and process safety leadership.
  • Technical understanding: Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical documents.
  • Inspection and testing: Competent in inspection, testing, commissioning, and monitoring.
  • Third-party relations: Effective management of relationships with third parties.
  • Planning skills: Strong planning capabilities for construction activities.

Education & Experience

  • Education: At least a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CSWIP 3.1 or IWI (IIW-S-IIS) or AWS QC1 or CWI.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or similar role.
