This opportunity is with a refinery and chemical complex business and offers involvement in a technically demanding construction portfolio spanning both greenfield and brownfield scopes. The role supports mechanical, civil and structural delivery, with a strong focus on construction readiness, module integration, safety performance and mechanical completion. This position will play an important part in coordinating site execution, fabrication interfaces and commissioning support across a complex project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a project portfolio that includes wells, flowlines, module installation and balance of plant activities.
- Drive contractor performance across mechanical, civil and structural activities.
- Carry out brownfield verification of mechanical, civil and structural scopes.
- Review mechanical, civil and structural drawings to support safe and effective execution.
- Promote strong safety performance through active management and application of the Human Performance safety program.
- Oversee construction and mechanical completion activities, including readiness to receive modules, vendor skids and vessels.
- Act as a liaison between the fabrication yard and project team to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Support field readiness in line with Advanced Work Packaging principles and Installation Work Packs.
- Interface with the commissioning and start-up team, including participation in triparty walks.
- Address construction and quality issues, using site management support where needed.
- Monitor and report material issues affecting fabrication, execution and construction activities.
- Ensure coordination with the fabrication yard to support upcoming module deliveries.
- Monitor preservation efforts and resolve related issues or concerns.
- Advise on permit to work processes to support compliance and effective implementation.
- Monitor workforce productivity and progress against schedule.
- Assist with third-party inspections as required.
- Work with contractors to minimise changes during execution.
- Evaluate the contractor's construction organisation and recommend corrective action where deficiencies are identified.
- Coordinate, monitor and appraise contractor planning, execution and controls, while helping remove delivery constraints.
- Support interfaces across engineering, construction, fabrication, commissioning, third parties and vendor representatives.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, civil and structural construction activities.
- Ability to review engineering drawings and verify field scope in brownfield conditions.
- Working knowledge of Advanced Work Packaging and Installation Work Packs.
- Capability to manage construction readiness, mechanical completion and module delivery coordination.
- Strong focus on safety performance, quality issues and permit to work compliance.
- Ability to monitor productivity, progress and material issues in a live construction environment.
- Strong contractor coordination, planning oversight and interface management skills.
