This opportunity is with a refinery and chemical complex business and focuses on supporting E&I construction delivery across brownfield and greenfield project activity. The role offers involvement in field verification, drawing review, mechanical completion and construction readiness, with close coordination across fabrication, commissioning and site execution teams. This position will play an important part in driving safety performance, supporting Advanced Work Packaging principles and helping maintain progress against schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive contractor performance in E&I activities.
- Carry out brownfield verification of E&I scopes.
- Review E&I drawings to support construction execution.
- Promote strong safety performance through active management and engagement with the Human Performance safety programme and craft teams.
- Oversee construction and mechanical completion activities across portfolio projects, including readiness to receive modules, vendor skids and vessels.
- Act as a liaison between the fabrication yard and project teams to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Support field readiness to execute and complete work aligned with Advanced Work Packaging principles and Installation Work Packs.
- Interface with commissioning and start-up teams, including participation in triparty walks.
- Address construction and quality issues, leveraging site management support where needed.
- Monitor and report on material issues affecting fabrication, execution and construction activities.
- Ensure coordination with the fabrication yard supports upcoming module deliveries.
- Monitor preservation efforts and address any concerns.
- Monitor and advise on permit to work processes to support compliance and implementation.
- Monitor workforce productivity and progress against schedule.
- Assist with third-party inspections as required.
- Work with contractors to minimise changes during execution.
- Evaluate construction organisation effectiveness and suggest corrective action where deficiencies are identified.
- Coordinate, monitor and appraise contractor planning, execution and controls, while helping remove constraints that could hinder performance.
- Support interfaces across engineering, construction, fabrication, commissioning, third parties and vendor representatives.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of E&I construction activities within active project environments.
- Ability to review technical drawings and support scope verification.
- Understanding of Advanced Work Packaging principles and Installation Work Packs.
- Capability to manage construction readiness, material issues and module delivery coordination.
- Ability to support permit to work compliance, quality issue resolution and safe site execution.
- Strong coordination and communication skills across fabrication, commissioning, engineering and contractor teams.
