Position: Construction Supervisor (T & I)

Qualification:
- B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University (or) Ordinary National Certificate (ONC) level in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering discipline (or) Diploma in Electrical, Electronics (or) Instrumentation Engineering plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction.
- Minimum of 10 years overall experience in supervising E&I related fabrication activities onshore and offshore of oil and gas production / wellhead platform topside and Jacket structures including construction work and material inspection, review and approval of construction method statements, load-out activities
- Experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Telemetry and Telecom discipline of Oil & Gas offshore projects.
- Computer literate. Good communication and writing skills
- Excellent command of English Language (oral and written
- Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness.
- Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings
- Ability
to
highlight
potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions.
- Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible, accountable and provide oversight of day-to-day Construction/execution of E&I activities of department assigned field Projects to ensure they are constructed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, approved drawings, engineering design and safety, environment and company standards & specifications.
- Oversee and provide guidance/advice to contractor primarily on Electrical and Instrumentation construction activities and secondarily on Telemetry and Telecom construction activities to ensure that they are performed as per approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and material requirements.
- To supervise EPIC Contractor during the execution of Electrical, Instrumentation, F&G, DCS, ESD and Telecom related construction activities at offshore construction site in Halul and Production Stations.
- Participate in reviewing detailed design drawings, method statements, material receipt inspection etc.
- Supervise, monitor, check and perform material receipt inspection in accordance with drawings, standards and specification. Raise damage and/or missing material report.
- Check and ensure that all construction works are completed in accordance with approved standards and consistent with contract specifications.
- Review and facilitate approval of long-term isolation plan submitted by contractor during brownfield modification and hook-up works.
- Carry out daily checks on contractor's workforce and prepare activity report of work carried out during the previous day.
- Review contractors' construction plans, schedules, method statements, procedures including offshore logistics.
- Perform and witness inspection based on approved ITP and certify the completion works. Sign Inspection test records and Quality control forms.
- Supervise and approve contractor E&I activities that includes but not limited to cable pulling, termination, glanding, loop shooting, Megering, cabinet installation, Field Instrument installation and testing etc. at contractor's yard, production stations and Halul Island.
- Coordinate with CONTRACTOR and specialized vendors such as ESD, DCS, F&G, and Telecom and supervise/approve their works in accordance with approved drawings, applicable standards and specifications.
- Maintain a daily record of progress noting special comments. Reports to supervisor- work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions.
- Sign work permits on behalf of company and to ensure that contractor compliance with conditions fixed on consolidated work permits.
- Participate in punch list walkthrough and punch list close-out, review and approve red line mark-up, as-built drawings, MCC and hand over to Commissioning team at various work locations as deemed necessary.
- Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to offshore sites following the contract award.
- Review and forward to management daily and weekly construction progress reports for department assigned projects and verify contractor's progress statements for accuracy.
- Interact and interface with other contractors, projects, departments regularly to identify and resolve all construction related matters especially liaison with Production and Maintenance departments.
- Participate in bid review and provide inputs on Tender document, drawings, method statements, construction execution schedule etc. from E&I discipline
