Airswift is seeking for Contracts Division Manager to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company. 

Job Description

  • Manage the contracts strategy for major onshore capital projects by controlling, directing, and implementing contract management processes while leading the development and stewardship of contract plans across the project.
  • Provide technical, commercial, and functional leadership in all aspects of contracting, including the preparation and administration of ITT packages and EPC contracts within a high-value, complex project environment.

Key Job Accountabilities

  1. Provide strategic leadership for all project contracting activities, including ITT issuance, EPC contract execution, and service work order administration, ensuring alignment with Legal and key stakeholders.
  2. Oversee preparation of ITT packages and direct the full tendering process to ensure commercial integrity, competitiveness, and governance compliance.
  3. Establish contract strategies and govern EPC contract development to ensure clear scope definition, balanced risk allocation, and alignment with project objectives.
  4. Evaluate contractor technical and commercial submissions and provide recommendations on contractual acceptability and commercial exposure.
  5. Govern end-to-end contract administration, including change management, payments, claims resolution, securities monitoring, amendments, and closeout.
  6. Lead negotiations for contractor-initiated changes to secure optimal commercial outcomes while protecting cost and schedule commitments.
  7. Manage complex contractual disputes and oversee preparation of formal commercial correspondence to protect contractual rights and minimize risk exposure.
  8. Maintain strong oversight of contractual frameworks to safeguard commercial interests and mitigate risks affecting major investments.
  9. Develop team capability within the contracts function through mentoring, capability building, and continuous improvement.
  10. Drive a high-performance contracts organization focused on excellence in safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

Mandatory Requirements

Qualifications (must have)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge and/or Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of experience across multiple project functions (e.g., project management, engineering, construction, procurement) within large-scale industrial or energy sectors.
  • At least 3 years in a project management leadership role on major capital projects.
  • Experience in business and risk management, including project controls, cost and schedule development, tendering, and contract management.
