Position Overview
The Data Coordinator is responsible for ensuring quality, consistency, validation, and management of engineering data throughout the project lifecycle. The role supports the Information Management team by coordinating data collection activities, maintaining data quality standards, and contributing to the deployment and operation of the Engineering Data Warehouse (Aveva Engineering).
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering disciplines, project stakeholders, administrators, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project data is accurate, compliant, and available in accordance with contractual and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Quality Control
Apply and maintain a thorough understanding of contractual requirements related to engineering data collection, verification, and tagging procedures.
Establish, maintain, and operate engineering tag validation tools.
Collect engineering data, including tags and associated attributes, from all project disciplines.
Verify data quality, integrity, completeness, and compliance using internal validation tools and project standards.
Analyze data discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with engineering teams.
Import validated data into the Engineering Data Warehouse.
Engineering Data Warehouse (Aveva Engineering)
Support the deployment and operation of the Engineering Data Warehouse (Aveva Engineering) on the project.
Understand and manage the standard content and functionalities of the Engineering Data Warehouse.
Analyze project-specific requirements and define necessary configurations, including:
Custom views
Data validation and checking mechanisms
Import configurations
Export formats
Data mappings
Perform first-level system configurations.
Prepare technical specifications and clarify requirements with system administrators.
Monitor and follow up on configuration activities performed by administrators.
Conduct testing and validation activities before deployment.
Deliver user training and prepare related documentation, presentations, and user guides.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Contribute to the development and implementation of project data performance indicators and reporting dashboards.
Assist in monitoring data quality KPIs and project information management metrics.
Support project reporting activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to project procedures, quality standards, and Information Management processes.
Follow the Information Quality Management Framework and Information Management Plan.
Produce high-quality documentation that meets project technical, content, and presentation standards.
Ensure all documentation is prepared in accordance with contractual language requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (Bac +3 minimum) in Engineering, Information Management, Data Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Data Coordinator, Information Management, or Engineering Data Management role.
Experience working on large engineering, EPC, onshore, or offshore projects.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong knowledge of Aveva Engineering (user-level expertise required; administrator-level experience is not mandatory).
Experience managing engineering tags, attributes, and engineering data quality processes.
Familiarity with Engineering Data Warehouses and data validation methodologies.
Understanding of engineering documentation and project data workflows.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation.
Experience with Information Management systems and data governance practices.
Familiarity with engineering standards and EPC project environments.
