About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator III to join our team. This is a hybrid role combining database administration and data analysis responsibilities. The ideal candidate is experienced in working with large datasets, building structured solutions, and bringing clarity to complex projects.

This position requires a self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision, lead initiatives, and contribute to both technical and strategic aspects of data management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases
  • Analyze and process large, complex datasets
  • Translate project requirements into structured, scalable solutions
  • Optimize database performance, security, and reliability
  • Support database upgrades, testing, and enhancements
  • Develop systems and mechanisms to track operational data, including field activities
  • Lead and participate in project meetings, providing data-driven insights
  • Organize and structure large volumes of unrefined or unstructured data
  • Recommend improvements to existing database and reporting systems

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with SQL and MS SQL Server
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Alteryx
  • Solid understanding of database architecture, data structures, and data modeling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Experience handling large datasets and complex data environments
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (flexible for exceptional candidates)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Database Administrator or Data Analyst role
  • Professional certifications in database technologies (a plus)
  • Experience leading projects or collaborating cross-functionally

Industry Experience

  • Oil & gas experience is not required, but preferred
  • Candidates from diverse industry backgrounds are encouraged to apply
