We are seeking an experienced Site Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector to oversee the quality, compliance, and integrity of all electrical and instrumentation works on a major onshore project. This role is crucial in ensuring installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Documentation:

  • Inspect Electrical & Instrumentation installations in accordance with ITP/ITR requirements.
  • Review contractor ITPs, procedures, and quality documentation.
  • Sign off ITRs and manage documentation using AP Completions software.
  • Compile, manage, and approve E&I test packs.
  • Create detailed daily and weekly site reports.

Quality Assurance:

  • Support Site Quality with reporting to project leadership.
  • Manage, track, and close punch?lists and non?conformances.
  • Drive corrective actions and ensure timely resolution with contractors.
  • Assist commissioning teams in closing out punch?points.
  • Witness Site Acceptance Tests.
  • Participate in system walkdowns.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Attend internal and contractor site meetings.
  • Highlight potential site impediments early and provide proactive solutions.
  • Collaborate with commissioning, construction, and QA/QC teams.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Always adhere to EH&S requirements and all site policies.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Stay current with industry standards, technology, and best practices.

Requirements:

Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.

  • Certified and trained to the relevant ATEX level.
  • Strong background working on onshore plants within the oil & gas sector.
  • Proven experience as a site-based Quality Control Inspector.
  • Proficient with inspection tools, documentation systems, and test procedures.
  • Working knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and implement supplier instruction manuals for E&I equipment.
