Role Overview
Reporting to the Quality Lead, the Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and signing off construction activities executed by Contractors, ensuring adherence to all Project Quality requirements.
Specific Duties
- Oversee daily Electrical and Instrumentation (including Telecoms) construction activities in compliance with project codes, standards, and specifications.
- Provide coordination, direction, and support regarding Quality requirements to the Construction Management Team, Contractors, Vendors, and Client.
- Resolve site-related Electrical and Instrumentation Quality issues.
Approve incoming electrical and instrumentation materials and equipment by:
- Verifying specifications
- Conducting visual and dimensional inspections
- Reviewing and confirming quality documentation
- Ensuring submission into the Completions Management System
- Participate in Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) inspections and ensure results are properly uploaded to the Completions Management System.
- Support the preparation and submission of Project Quality records.
- Contribute to the execution of Project HSSE programs, ensuring activities and targets are met.
- Monitor Contractor and Vendor performance to ensure Quality Control objectives are achieved.
- Deputize for the Quality Lead when required.
General Responsibilities
- Attend construction, contractor, and third?party meetings as needed.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with other disciplines, Contractors, and Vendor teams.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Use Microsoft Office 365 applications effectively (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word).
Qualifications & Experience
- Fluent oral and written German; good understanding of English.
- Further education or formal Quality qualifications preferred (experience and training will also be taken into account).
- Quality certification in Electrical and Instrumentation.
- Proven experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Quality roles within the petrochemical, oil, or gas industries.
- Strong technical background and understanding of related codes and standards.
