ENGINEERING LEAD – HYDROGRAPHIC - DOHA, QATAR.

Airswift is seeking for a Engineering Lead Hydrographic to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.
Job Purpose:
- Responsible for leading and coordinating all hydrographic and survey engineering activities in support specifically for RLIC Port dredging and reclamation project an in general for all nearshore developments involving Offplot project portfolio.
- The role ensures the accurate acquisition, processing, and interpretation of bathymetric, geophysical, and geospatial data required for project design, installation, and operations.
- The position provides technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring survey activities are executed in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and HSE requirements.
- The Engineering Lead Hydrographic acts as the focal point for all survey-related matters, interfacing with project management, marine operations, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure data quality, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency across the project lifecycle
Qualifications, Knowledge and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Hydrography, Geomatics, Geophysics) or Ocean Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering roles, including:
- At least 4 years in the Oil & Gas industry, and
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory, acting, or contractor oversight role, managing contractor, subcontractor, service, or vendor personnel.
- Experience working with Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service companies within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in managing contractors and third?party vendors across multiple project phases, preferably having completed at least one full project lifecycle from FEED to Start?Up.
- Experience in technology adoption and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Hands?on experience in offshore construction, subsea pipelines, and marine operations.
- Familiarity with international standards (e.g. IHO, IMCA) and HSE requirements.
- Demonstrated capability in contractor management and project coordination.
- Middle East project experience, preferably in Qatar, is a strong advantage.
