Airswift is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a dynamic team supporting complex industrial and energy-related projects.
This role will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders and proposals, ensuring alignment with technical, commercial and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze tender documents, drawings and client specifications to develop detailed cost estimates (materials, labor, equipment and subcontractors).
- Perform quantity take-offs for piping, structural, mechanical and civil scopes.
- Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings and technical clarifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement and operations teams to prepare competitive proposals.
- Support project planning, scheduling and resource allocation (WBS, manpower loading).
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations and participate in bid evaluations.
- Identify project risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and update cost databases and benchmarking tools.
- Support project execution teams post-award when required.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Industrial) or Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in estimating within EPC, industrial construction or oil & gas projects
(or 15+ years of relevant field/project experience). - Strong experience with shutdowns/turnarounds (TAR), maintenance or brownfield projects.
- Solid knowledge of cost estimation methodologies and industry standards (ASME, API, ANSI).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and isometrics.
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating tools; familiarity with MS Project and/or Primavera is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
