Role Overview
Reporting to the Operations Leadership team, the Factory Manager will take ownership of a high-performing production line within a demanding industrial environment. The role is focused on leading a large, multicultural workforce, driving improvements across quality, cost, and delivery, and embedding a strong performance culture through hands-on leadership and continuous improvement practices.
Key Responsibilities
Promote safe and professional conduct across all production activities
Lead, manage, and develop an assembly team of approximately 100 personnel
Drive operational performance across quality, cost, and delivery metrics
Provide strong on-site leadership, ensuring high levels of team engagement and accountability
Implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
Structure and optimise production processes within a complex industrial environment
Monitor and improve production efficiency, identifying and addressing performance gaps
Maintain and enforce high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and resolve operational challenges
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Requirements
Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience managing large, diverse teams in a fast-paced production setting
Strong background in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrated ability to bring structure and clarity to complex operational environments
Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the shop floor
Industrial experience within metal construction or heavy industry preferred
Strong communication and leadership skills
Fluent in English (required)
Ability to work fully onsite in Courcelles, Belgium
