Airswift is searching for a Field Operator to work in Cheyenne, WY on a long-term contract.

Job Summary

  • This Field Operator position is located Cheyenne, Wyoming.   This position provides day-to-day field operations support for Roaring Fork Midstream’s gas and oil gathering assets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil and Gas Midstream Gathering Facilities including but not limited to gas compression, TEG dehydration, gas / liquid separation, LACT operation, and pipeline pigging.
  • Strong safety attitude with the ability to recognize hazards and take actions to mitigate risk and/or stop work when unsafe conditions exist
  • Able to be self-directed in completing daily tasks
  • Able to coordinate operational tasks with third party service providers while providing company representation and leadership.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills including the ability to use multiple data sources to solve operational problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with peers, operations management, third-party service providers and technical resources.
  • Ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects of varying complexity.

Responsibilities

  • The Field Operator is responsible for day-to-day operation of midstream field facilities and gathering systems (gas and oil).   This includes a gas compressor station, oil terminal, Oil LACTs, gas meters, and associated gathering pipelines.   Daily activities include, but are not limited to:

    • Monitoring operations including taking daily read ups of equipment operation including product tank inventories, chemical inventories and operating parameters noted equipment
    • Starting and stopping equipment, including:

      • Engine-driven gas compressor packages
      • Pumps
      • TEG Dehydration Skids
      • Thermal Oxidizers and Flares
      • Instrument air compressors
    • Preparing equipment for maintenance including application of LOTO.
    • Pipeline pigging operations on both the gas and oil pipelines
    • Coordinating and overseeing meter / LACT proving activities
    • Troubleshooting operation and mechanical issues and implementing and/or supporting corrective actions
    • Conducting minor maintenance including, but not limited to filter changes and addressing minor equipment and piping leaks.

Education

  • High School Diploma

Desired Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office Products, (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

Certifications / Licenses

  • Valid Drivers License required.

Work Schedule

  • Alternating 8 / 6 10-hour schedule (eight days on, six days off) Wednesday – Wednesday, 7:00 AM start-time
  • Able to take on-call responsibilities outside of normal business hours during scheduled workdays.
