Our client is seeking a Night Compressor Operator to work within their facilities located in Midland, TX on an initial 12-month assignment (with possibility of extension / becoming permanent).
Responsibilities
Learn daily gas compressor and compressor facility operations.
Good housekeeping.
Handle on call duties, drive company vehicle to locations.
Work is performed in learning mode.
Learns appropriate tools to use, identify, diagnose and repair/replace equipment. Basic trouble shooting.
Maintain up-to-date reporting of facility operations and be responsible for all the aspects required for the JBPE.
Daily interaction with Foremen, Compressor Operators, Mechanics, Lease Operators.
Occasionally works side-by-side with contractors.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor, to include special projects.
Technological efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
Prior Compressor gas lift operations preferred.
Mechanical or oilfield related experience required - 2.5 yrs. preferred
Education & Experience
High School diploma is required
Prior mechanical and/or oil field experience.
Current valid vehicle operator’s license with an insurable driving record is required
