Airswift is looking for a Field Subcontracts Coordinator to support a major client on a 12-month assignment to work rotational in North Slope, AK.
Candidates must be based in Houston, TX or Anchorage, AK
Schedule: Rotational 14 on /14 off
Seeking experienced Subcontracts Coordinators to support field construction operations. This role is a field-driven position focused on managing subcontractor performance, coordinating daily site activities, and supporting project execution in a remote, high-demand environment.
The position requires strong field presence, supervision, and coordination experience working directly with subcontractors onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary field liaison between client and subcontractors onsite
- Manage day-to-day subcontractor activities, performance, and issue resolution in the field
Ensure subcontractors are:
- Executing scope safely and efficiently
- Adhering to project schedules and quality standards
Coordinate closely with:
- Superintendents
- Project Managers
- Field Engineers
- Monitor subcontractor productivity and escalate issues as needed
Support timekeeping and administrative functions, including:
- Reviewing and signing timesheets
- Tracking daily progress and workforce activity
Assist with resolving:
- Scope conflicts
- Work sequencing challenges
- Field execution issues
- Participate in daily coordination meetings, planning sessions, and safety briefings
- Maintain strong documentation and communication around subcontractor performance and field conditions
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in:
- Industrial construction
- Oil and gas
- Heavy civil or EPC project environments
- Strong field supervision or coordination experience
- Experience directly managing or coordinating subcontractors in the field
Understanding of:
- Construction sequencing
- Work execution in remote environments
- Daily field operations and crew management
- Ability to work effectively in a rotational, remote North Slope environment
Candidates must be comfortable:
- Being onsite daily
- Managing crews and subcontractors directly
- Operating in a hands-on, problem-solving role
Work Environment
- Remote North Slope location supporting large-scale energy and infrastructure projects
- 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational schedule
