Finance Business Partner

About the role

Airswift is partnering with a leading energy and resources operator to appoint a Finance Business Partner to support operational stakeholders with cost management, forecasting and financial insights.

This role works closely with Operations to strengthen budget owner capability, improve cost visibility and support informed decision-making across the business.


Key responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day finance business partnering support to Operations stakeholders
  • Prepare and manage monthly accruals in collaboration with scope and budget owners
  • Deliver timely, accurate and reliable financial reports with clear variance analysis and commentary
  • Support annual budget and forecast cycles, including ongoing cost and efficiency challenges
  • Develop and maintain cost models to support forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Analyse cost trends and deviations against budget or forecast expectations
  • Manage financial master data, ensuring correct use of cost centres, WBS, work orders and cost elements
  • Prepare management presentations and submissions within required timeframes
  • Support audit activities and ensure compliance with accounting policies and tax requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes

Skills & experience

  • Degree in Accounting (essential)
  • CPA / CA / CIMA qualified or working towards
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience in a finance or business partnering role
  • Experience in resources, energy or E&P environments preferred
  • SAP experience strongly preferred (FI, CO, PS modules; exposure to MM, PM or BW advantageous)
  • Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail
  • Confident communicator able to influence and build relationships with non-finance stakeholders

Additional information

  • Infrequent travel to Darwin may be required
  • Role is not safety critical
  • Permanent position based in Perth, WA
