Finance Specialist
Role Overview
The Finance Specialist is responsible for delivering accurate accounting and controlling activities, ensuring timely month?end close, balance sheet integrity, and compliance with internal policies and IFRS requirements. This role works closely with local finance, shared services, IT, and operations teams to support business and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and record accounting adjustments including accruals, work?in?progress, payroll, bonuses, employee benefits, and leave provisions.
- Post journals in CW1 or SAP ERP and ensure all required supporting documentation is properly uploaded and maintained.
- Manage prepayment schedules and related accounting entries, including monitoring amortization.
- Prepare ABT files and perform periodic reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain IFRS 16 lease accounting and reconcile lease data with SAP records.
- Support month?end closing activities and ensure completion of close checklists within agreed timelines.
- Administer fixed asset accounting, including asset creation, disposals, and retirements.
- Perform customs duty, GST, and VAT clearing and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Prepare and finalize financial data for submission through SAP EPM group reporting.
- Generate Statistical Key Figures (SKF) to support allocation and system runs.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and present them for review with local finance stakeholders.
- Track, follow up, and resolve balance sheet review items with relevant departments.
- Perform monthly intercompany reconciliation, investigate variances, and drive timely resolution.
- Monitor AIF/SM35 interfaces and resolve or escalate issues as required.
- Liaise with IT and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve system or interface issues.
- Provide support for ad?hoc tasks, continuous improvement initiatives, and finance?related projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, or a similar role.
