Join our dynamic team as a Geophysical Quality Control Representative and play a crucial role in the offshore energy sector! This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Likembe Geophysical and Geotechnical Survey Program in Angola, where you will help assess the engineering characteristics of the seabed and support in-field development infrastructure.

Role Overview

  • Conduct geophysical surveys of new pipelines, umbilical routes, and structure locations using AUV Survey techniques including MBES, SSS, and SBP.
  • Perform as-found surveys with ROV to assess existing structures for potential interference with project installation scope.
  • Execute geotechnical surveys including PCPT and borehole sampling at the Likembe Drill center to a minimum depth of 40m below the sea floor.
  • Collect box core samples to a target depth of 0.5m BSF and ensure PCPTs are taken to a minimum depth of 3m BSF.
  • Coordinate the collection of piston cores and PCPTs to a depth of 5m for crossing and riser design.
  • Identify and acquire additional samples based on findings from geophysical surveys.

Skills & Qualifications

  • FPSO/FSU/FSO experience: Familiarity with floating production storage and offloading systems.
  • Brownfield project experience: Knowledge of working in existing operational environments.
  • AUV Survey proficiency: Experience with Autonomous Underwater Vehicle surveys.
  • Geophysical survey techniques: Understanding of MBES, SSS, SBP methodologies.
  • Geotechnical sampling skills: Expertise in PCPT, borehole sampling, box cores, and piston cores.

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in geophysical or geotechnical surveying are advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in geophysical and geotechnical survey operations.
