Airswift is seeking an HSE Lead to serve as the Owner’s Representative on a major onshore wind construction project in Fort Stockton, Texas.

This is a site-based role responsible for leading health, safety, environment, and security governance across all construction activities, with a strong focus on working at heights.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Owner’s Representative for all HSE matters during wind project construction activities.
  • Oversee the implementation and enforcement of company standards, site HSE plans, and contractual HSE requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
  • Lead HSE oversight for ground?based construction activities, including Balance of Plant (BOP), crane operations, electrical work, logistics, and laydown yard operations.
  • Review and approve HSE documentation, including HSE plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), lift plans, and construction method statements.
  • Conduct routine site audits, inspections, and field verifications.
  • Lead or support incident and near?miss investigations, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor HSE KPIs and provide regular reporting to project and regional leadership.
  • Participate in and support site inductions, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency preparedness drills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of HSE experience in construction projects, preferably in renewable energy.
  • Proven experience leading HSE programs and overseeing EPCs and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and U.S. construction safety standards.
  • Experience overseeing contractor Safety Management Systems.
  • OSHA 30 (Construction) certification required.
  • Professional HSE certifications preferred (CSP, ASP, CHST, NEBOSH).
  • Ability to work full time on an active outdoor construction site.
  • U.S. work authorization
