HSE Representative (Onshore & Offshore)
We are seeking an experienced HSE Representative to provide day-to-day health, safety and environmental leadership across onshore and offshore activities, including site receival, fabrication, and subsea installation phases.

This role partners closely with company representatives, vessel crews, contractors, and onshore HSE teams to ensure the safe execution of high-risk offshore work. You will play a critical role in maintaining strong control of work practices, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and supporting operational excellence and incident-free performance.

As a key HSE interface, you will drive field assurance, incident reporting, emergency preparedness, and workforce engagement in a dynamic marine environment.

Perth-based until September 2026, with periodic travel to Henderson for site visits
Transition to an offshore roster from September 2026 to March 2027



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visible HSE leadership both onshore and offshore through site presence, inspections, toolbox talks, start-work checks, and task-based assurance
  • Support Permit to Work (PTW) and Control of Work (CoW) systems, including permit reviews, audits, and SIMOPS verification
  • Monitor high-risk activities, verify critical controls, and intervene where unsafe conditions or deviations arise
  • Coordinate incident, near-miss, and hazard reporting; support investigations and drive corrective actions to closure
  • Maintain assurance registers and contribute to ongoing HSE reporting and verification activities
  • Support emergency preparedness including drills, communication checks, inspections, and audits
  • Conduct inductions and promote continuous workforce engagement and safety culture
  • Validate training compliance, PPE requirements, and adherence to safety case parameters
  • Engage daily with Vessel Management Teams and onshore stakeholders to ensure alignment

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead or participate in incident investigations and reporting
  • Conduct IOGP Start Work Checks and task verifications
  • Support occupational hygiene monitoring practices
  • Participate in HAZID and risk assessment activities
  • Verify compliance with critical safeguards related to:
    • Lifting and rigging
    • Hot work
    • Mobile equipment
    • Working at heights
    • Confined space entry
    • Isolation of hazardous energy
  • Develop and maintain documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
