Airswift is seeking an IMAC & IT Asset Management Specialist to work a 4-month contract for one of our clients in Calgary, AB.
The IMAC & IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for executing day?to?day Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) activities while maintaining accurate, audit?ready IT asset lifecycle management across end?user computing devices. This role supports device deployment, recovery, refresh, inventory control, and secure handling of IT assets in alignment with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and security requirements.
This is a hands?on, execution?focused role suited for an intermediate?level technician who is comfortable working independently, coordinating with Service Desk and Field Support teams, and managing physical assets with strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
IMAC / End?User Support
- Perform device installations, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) for desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals, and accessories
- Execute PC refreshes, swaps, and break/fix replacements
- Prepare, stage, image, configure, and deploy devices according to standard builds
- Support new hire onboarding and equipment provisioning
- Assist with device recovery for offboarding and role changes
- Provide hands?on end?user support during deployments and transitions
IT Asset Management
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets: receive ? tag ? inventory ? deploy ? support ? recover ? redeploy ? retire
- Maintain accurate asset records in the ITSM / asset management system (assignment, location, status)
- Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts; investigate and reconcile discrepancies
- Manage spare inventory and stockroom operations
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, RMAs, and vendor returns
- Ensure chain?of?custody and secure handling of devices and data
- Support refresh planning and asset aging analysis
Process, Documentation & Compliance
- Follow standardized IMAC and asset management procedures
- Document work performed, asset movements, and identity verification (where applicable)
- Ensure compliance with information security, data destruction, and hardware disposal requirements
- Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and documentation updates
- Work closely with Service Desk, Desktop Support, Field Support, and vendors to meet SLAs
Required Skills & Experience
Technical & Operational Skills
- Intermediate experience in:
- IMAC / IMACD operations
- PC hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals)
- Windows 10 / Windows 11 environments
- Experience supporting:
- Device imaging / provisioning
- User data migration
- Hardware refresh cycles
- Familiarity with:
- ITSM and asset management tools
- Stockroom and inventory control practices
- Secure handling and disposal of hardware
