Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: 5/40 (Hybrid, On week at the office, one WFH)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interventions Technologist to support well planning and execution performance through advanced data analytics and reporting. This role is responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights, building scalable data models, and delivering high-quality dashboards to support operational decision-making.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working closely with stakeholders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs). Strong expertise in Wellview, SQL, and Power BI is essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and reporting solutions
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, scripts, and data pipelines
  • Create, enhance, and support Power BI dashboards and reporting tools
  • Translate business requirements into data-driven analytical solutions
  • Define, track, and improve KPIs to support operational performance
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and insights to support leadership decisions
  • Modernize and improve existing reporting systems and workflows
  • Leverage AI tools to improve productivity, automation, and analytics workflows
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Wellview data and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Reporting
  • Strong hands-on experience with Wellview
  • Advanced SQL skills, including performance optimization
  • Proven experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards
  • Experience with data modeling and large data environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance data workflows and productivity
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly upstream operations
  • Experience working with large-scale or near real-time data environments

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work schedule (one week onsite, one week remote)
  • Preferred location: Houston or Denver
  • Remote work available for exceptional candidates
  • Quarterly travel to Houston or Denver and annual field visits

  • Gain a strong understanding of the current data and reporting landscape
  • Stabilize and enhance key dashboards and reports
  • Deliver at least one measurable KPI improvement
  • Identify gaps and propose modernization initiatives
  • Build or improve scalable data models supporting intervention reporting
