Lead Expeditor
Join our dynamic team as a Lead Expeditor, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely delivery of critical materials and equipment for projects in the Oil & Gas industry. This is an exciting opportunity to lead expediting teams and collaborate with suppliers, all while working in the vibrant city of Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Role Overview
Manage the expediting teams to ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
Review and follow up on the progress of main and sub deliveries.
Coordinate field expediting activities and follow up actions based on field expediting reports.
Identify and anticipate issues affecting timely delivery and recommend corrective actions.
Oversee the process from purchase order issuance to release for shipment (RFS).
Maintain and organize scope of work in the Material Management System (MMS) for transparency.
Liaise with the Operations Support Coordinator-Expediting to implement Project Execution Plans.
Participate in package gate meetings and organize or chair Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) for packages.
Review manufacturing schedules and quality control plans to identify milestones and critical paths.
Monitor sub orders, review purchase orders, and ensure compliance with overall schedules.
Coordinate and assign Field Expeditors to main and sub vendors.
Monitor vendor inspection notifications to ensure compliance with schedules.
Review shipping documentation from vendors prior to releasing materials for collection.
Maintain information of purchase orders in the Expediting Worksheet for reliable reporting.
Assist Package Managers in closing out outstanding, shortages, and damage reports.
Perform field expediting visits as needed and work closely with Package Managers.
Skills & Qualifications
Expediting: Proven experience in managing expediting processes.
Mechanical Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical rotating, static equipment, mooring/marine equipment, and miscellaneous equipment.
Field Coordination: Ability to coordinate field expediting activities effectively.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues impacting delivery timelines.
Documentation Management: Proficient in managing vendor documentation and shipping processes.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not always required.
Minimum 7+ years of Expediting Experience in Oil & Gas across various material disciplines.
Experience working on EPC projects and in multicultural environments is essential.
