Lead Maintenance Engineer

Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview

This position is responsible for supervising the Maintenance Engineering scope of work for a major project. The role will include leading a small team to deliver maintenance engineering outputs, ensuring technical quality across all documentation and deliverables, and interfacing with internal stakeholders. Responsibilities focus on the newly built Carbon Capture and Compression Unit, driving consistency and completeness within all maintenance-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the O&M manager in overseeing Maintenance Engineering tasks for the project.
  • Participate actively in Maintenance workshops with both the client and subcontractors.
  • Manage a team responsible for preparing the Maintenance Engineering scope.
  • Lead and coordinate deliverables including asset criticality studies, maintenance plans, CMMS build, and maintenance procedures with relevant spare parts.
  • Review and comment for data consistency within all maintenance deliverables.
  • Ensure completeness and quality in maintenance-build for new units.
  • Interface with Engineering, Operations, and Process teams as needed.
  • Review maintenance manuals received from vendors.
  • Support compliance with project procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Expertise in maintenance, including preventive, corrective, and condition-based approaches.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance-related standards (e.g. API, AISC).
  • Proficiency in MS tools.
  • Proficiency in RCM processes.
  • Experience with CMMS systems.

  • Ability to manage teams and coordinate multi-disciplinary maintenance deliverables.
  • Strong attention to technical and content quality of documentation.
  • Analytical skills for reviewing documentation consistency and completeness.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement across engineering and operations.
