Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all process engineering activities for offshore projects during FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC/EPCI phases.
- Act as the discipline lead and main technical interface for process engineering with clients, licensors, project management, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Supervise and coordinate a team of process engineers and designers, including work planning, technical guidance, and review/approval of deliverables.
- Develop, review, and approve key process engineering deliverables, including:
- Process Design Basis and Philosophy
- PFDs and P&IDs
- Heat & Material Balance, Process Calculations, and Datasheets
- Equipment sizing for static and rotating equipment
- Line sizing, PSV calculations, relief and flare system design
- Control philosophies and safeguarding systems
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable international standards and codes (API, ASME, ISO).
- Identify and address process safety aspects, including participation in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and other risk assessment studies.
- Interface closely with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, safety, and commissioning teams to support integrated project execution.
- Support technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and technical clarifications.
- Provide process engineering support during construction, commissioning, and offshore hook?up as required.
- Monitor engineering progress, highlight technical risks, and propose solutions to meet project schedule and quality objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10–12 years of experience in process engineering within the offshore oil & gas / marine / offshore facilities environment.
- Strong experience in offshore facilities such as platforms, FPSOs, offshore processing modules, or gas processing systems.
- Solid understanding of process design, hydrocarbons processing, utilities, and offshore operational constraints.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex offshore projects.
