Entry-Level Lease Operator
Duration: Initially 1 year with room for extension and/or becoming permanent

This Lease Operator opportunity offers the chance to support day-to-day oil and gas operations in a field-based environment, with responsibility for maintaining safe and efficient well performance across assigned assets.
Role Context
This role is aligned to oil and gas production operations, with a focus on wellsite activity, equipment oversight, and remote location access. The Lease Operator will work with wells, tanks, meters, separators, compressors, and piping components as part of routine production support.
About the Role
The Lease Operator is responsible for helping maintain production continuity, supporting safety and environmental standards, and responding to operational issues across assigned wells and facilities. This position plays a key part in monitoring output, identifying maintenance needs, and supporting the company’s daily operating goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-startup safety reviews and participate in incident investigations and HSE audits.
- Operate company-provided vehicle in a safe manner and adhere to driving guidelines.
- Inspect gas and oil wells, tanks, meters, separators, compressors, and piping components for leaks or issues.
- Access remote locations to check wells and maintain normal operating levels and pressures.
- Gauge tanks for sale or transfer of condensate, crude oil, and water and maintain accurate records.
- Prioritize and operate wells to meet contractual obligations.
- Operate various equipment including compressors, pumps, and artificial lift systems.
- Gather and analyze data to optimize production and reduce safety and environmental impact.
- Perform minor repairs and generate work notifications for equipment maintenance.
- Execute required regulatory tasks using SAP.
- Take full ownership of daily operations and maintenance of assigned wells.
- Be on call and respond to alarms as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and order on lease routes and at facilities.
- Contribute to achieving safety, production, and financial goals set by the company.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience in oil and gas production practices, equipment, and terminology.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Satisfactory safety record and knowledge of safety rules and practices.
- Familiarity with electronic remote well supervision, SCADA, and electric data gathering software.
- Proficiency in utilizing laptop PC and applicable software programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions and climb heights up to 24 feet.
