Elevate Your Career in Legal Counsel

Join our dynamic team as a Legal Counsel and play a pivotal role in supporting major FPSO projects and brownfield initiatives in the energy sector. This fully remote position offers you the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to critical supply chain operations for a leading company in the oil and gas industry.

Role Overview

  • Provide legal support to Supply Chain for major FPSO projects, fleet operations, and brownfield projects.
  • Engage in negotiations both in writing and virtually via TEAMS.
  • Report to the Senior Legal Counsel overseeing legal support to Group Supply Chain, seeking appropriate mandates as necessary.
  • Draft contract clauses and other contractual documents, including Memoranda of Agreement and NDAs.
  • Formulate and implement strategies during negotiations with suppliers.
  • Liaise and support the Contract Manager assigned to the Project/Operations/Brownfield.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain functions, including Project Procurement Managers, Category Managers, and Buyers.
  • Coordinate with related enabling functions such as Group Insurance, Group Compliance, and other legal teams.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Contracts Terms & Review: Expertise in reviewing and negotiating contract terms.
  • Formation of Subcontracts: Experience in drafting and forming subcontracts.
  • Common Law Knowledge: Strong understanding of common law, ideally English law.
  • Supply Chain/Procurement Experience: Relevant experience in supply chain or procurement processes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the oil & gas industry or broader energy sector.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: Common law qualified (ideally English law) with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience: Relevant supply chain/procurement experience preferred.
