  • Produce routine newsletters for up-to-date dissemination of events within China, summarizing commodity specific information and macro indicators impacting the Chinese economy. 

  • Collect information to undertake analysis on the drivers of the Chinese gas and LNG market (example: weather forecasts, installed capacity and utilization of gas/LNG infrastructure, regulation changes, alternative fuels) to produce reports on current supply/demand. 

  • Integrate knowledge into the central China gas supply and demand model while managing the ongoing modelling and forecasting processes to ensure accurate and timely insights.

  • Build and maintain relationships with market analysts and research institutions to exchange market insights, and participate in key local industry conferences to deepen market understanding and connect with industry counterparts.

  • Monitor publications from independent gas consultants and outputs from NOC research houses, producing reports on developments in China’s gas market.

  • Collect and analyze official national and regional statistics and reports to build a comprehensive understanding of the key drivers of gas supply and demand.

  • Collect and report on pricing data for Chinese truck

  • Monitor and report on China's electricity sector evolution, especially installed capacity and actual generation changes, including the monitoring of the installation of new renewables hydro availability.

  • Centralize and enhance market intelligence by consolidating information gathered by the QET Commercial Support Executive in Guangzhou and develop databases on Chinese counterparties—including their strategies, portfolios, business needs, and completed deals—as well as on individual Chinese gas suppliers’ demand profiles, operational contracts, and supply sources.
