Our client is seeking a Logistics Specialist / Expeditor to work within their facilities located in Midland, Texas on a long-term assignment (with possibility of extension / becoming permanent).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze oil and gas drilling, completion & production schedules, as well as break-in demand, and coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to schedule.

  • Review and approve documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications. - Review and approve documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.

  • Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.

  • Revise production schedule, when required, due to design changes, labor or material shortages or other interruptions.

  • Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments.

  • Confer with establishment personnel, vendors and customers to coordinate production and shipping activities and resolve complaints or eliminate delays.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 10+ years related experience required, 5+ years related experience in Oil & Gas transportation.
  • Ability to accurately interpret, calculate, prioritize, and execute against customer demand signals and transportation requirements.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials.
  • Strong ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Work Schedule: 21/21 rotation
