Our client is seeking a Maintenance Planner to work within their facility located in Freeport, TX, for a long-term contract.

Purpose: Provide field maintenance planning for the safe and efficient execution of maintenance work in a 24/7 continuous process chemical plant using SAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Know, understand and be able to safely field plan and prepare job packages for multiple crafts: Boilermaker, Pipe Fitter, Welder, Scaffold, Insulation, Painter, Facilities.
  • Prepare a detailed picture package and place the operations steps in the SAP job plan, identifying the correct crafts and time allocations for each major job step.
  • Identify required materials from either stores or external suppliers based upon detailed job plans and submit purchase requests in SAP for identified materials.
  • Identify required external services based upon the detailed job plans and submit purchase requests in SAP for identified services.
  • Assure that work orders selected by the OMC have been coded as “Planned” and “Ready to Schedule” and that parts, materials and external resources, if required, are available.
  • Willingness to perform back-up functions for the Scheduler using Prometheus and includes facilitating daily and weekly scheduling meetings.
  • Openly, willingly and with an encouraging attitude, accept constructive feedback from crafts to improve all aspects of job planning.
  • May be asked to support turnaround activities at site in a planning or coordinating role.
  • Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, the ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
  • Receive and review for completeness, authorized work orders from the OMC. Determine if the work order is complete and if the information is accurate.
  • Consistently and constructively provide feedback to the OMC on any improvements that could be or should be made to improve work order planning.
  • As necessary and required, perform field checks associated with the equipment in the work order.
  • Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Assists other employees in accomplishments of Company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
  • Any other task that the Company may assign as needed to support the business.
