Overview
Seeking a mechanically and electrically inclined field technician to support gas measurement systems, electrical controls, and pipeline equipment. Ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, problem?solving, and working independently. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform gas flow/meter calculations and maintain multiple meter types (PD, rotary, Coriolis, turbine, orifice, ultrasonic)
- Maintain gas quality systems, analyzers (GC, water vapor, sulfur, H2S, O?), and odorization equipment
- Inspect and repair pressure regulators, control valves, relief valves, pneumatic devices
- Support measurement operations across a ~150?mile pipeline section
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems: AC/DC, low voltage, solar gas compressor components
- Install small?diameter instrument piping/tubing
- Use Maximo or similar CMMS for work tracking
- Ensure safe operations and complete accurate documentation
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years field experience
- Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude
- Hands?on troubleshooting skills
- Self?driven, dependable, team?oriented
- Eager to learn—positive mindset preferred
Work Environment
- Field role based
- On?call rotation: 3?week cycle (1 week on call)
- Overtime + occasional weekend emergencies
- Company truck provided
