Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Monaco (Office based)
Contract Duration: 12 months (renewable)
Contract Setup: Monday to Friday

Purpose
The Mechanical Design Engineer’s purpose is to contribute to the design and engineering of reliable, cost effective and safe mechanical solutions that support project execution and align with the organization’s operational and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the selection of appropriate engineering methods and procedures, the execution of mechanical design work, and the optimization of designs within the scope of defined specifications.
The role includes performing mechanical engineering activities in compliance with international codes, applicable regulations, company requirements and industry standards.
You will plan, execute and complete engineering activities and deliverables within the agreed timeframe, ensuring effective coordination of system interfaces across disciplines.
You will develop mechanical designs from concept phase through detailed design, ensuring technical integrity, safety and constructability.
You will ensure that the assigned Scope of Work is delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and internal procedures.
You are expected to apply lessons learned from previous projects and understand the impact of changes within and across mechanical and system boundaries.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers and third parties in line with contractual obligations and internal requirements.
You will support technical reviews, design validation activities, calculations and engineering assessments as required.
Education
Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience
0 to 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering or design roles, in any industry.
Exposure to mechanical design, engineering calculations, or project engineering activities through graduate programs or early career positions is an advantage.
