Mechanical Engineer (Stutdown)
Location: Marchienne (Charleroi) in Belgium (close to the French border)
Contract: Around 15 months
Rotation / Set up: Monday to Friday
Expected starting date: Mid-July 2026

Role Overview
- Shutdown Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive plans for major maintenance shutdowns.
- Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the shutdown are executed efficiently.
- Technical Support: Provide mechanical engineering support during the shutdown process.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and outcomes.
- Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources and materials for the shutdown.
Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical Expertise: Strong background in mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Shutdown Experience: Proven experience in planning and executing maintenance shutdowns.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in mechanical engineering or maintenance management are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in maintenance and shutdown operations.
