Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety focused Rigger with concrete and formwork experience to support Oil & Gas construction and maintenance activities. The role involves executing rigging and lifting operations in accordance with approved lift plans, while also assisting with structural concrete and formwork works on Oil & Gas facilities. This position requires strong safety awareness, physical capability, and the ability to perform in high risk, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Rigging & Lifting
- Assemble, inspect, maintain, and dismantle rigging equipment used in Oil & Gas operations
- Execute lifting and hoisting activities in accordance with lift plans, SWMS, and site procedures
- Select and safely use lifting equipment including chains, slings, shackles, hoists, and cranes
- Work in coordination with Crane Operators, Lift Supervisors, and Permit Holders
- Conduct pre?use inspections and report defective rigging equipment
- Comply with all Oil & Gas safety standards, permits, and isolation requirements
Concrete & Formwork
- Install, modify, align, and strip formwork for structural concrete works
- Assist with concrete pours, finishing, curing, and remediation activities
- Perform general concrete labouring duties as required
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- Proven experience as a Rigger in Oil & Gas, construction, or heavy industrial environments
- Minimum 2 years site experience
- Demonstrated experience in concrete works and formwork (highly regarded)
Licences & Certifications
- High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) – Intermediate or Advanced Rigging (RI / RA)
- Dogging (DG) Licence
- Class Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
