About the Role

Airswift is seeking an Offshore System Specialist to join our client, a leading organisation in the [energy / offshore / oil & gas] sector. This role is responsible for delivering routine design, operational, and maintenance activities related to offshore systems, working within established guidelines, engineering standards, and safety procedures.

The successful candidate will act as an autonomous discipline engineer—translating engineering practices into practical offshore solutions while coordinating with internal stakeholders, contractors, and operational teams to ensure safe and reliable system performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute routine design, operational, and maintenance activities for offshore systems in alignment with company standards and industry guidelines.
  • Translate engineering procedures, specifications, and best practices into practical offshore applications.
  • Identify and resolve common technical issues, seeking guidance only for more complex challenges.
  • Integrate discipline?specific activities to support safe and efficient system delivery through defined engineering processes.
  • Interface with internal departments, offshore teams, and contractors to coordinate work execution.
  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholder groups at a tactical level, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot deviations, and ensure compliance with operational integrity requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to system reliability, maintenance strategies, and engineering processes.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in offshore engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline within the energy or marine sector.
  • Strong understanding of offshore facility design, operations, or maintenance processes.
  • Ability to work independently while following established procedures and engineering standards.
  • Practical experience solving technical issues within an operational or project environment.
  • Solid communication and stakeholder?management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with contractors and internal teams while ensuring safe work practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to deliver within defined processes and schedules.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience supporting offshore facilities or projects (FPSO, platform, subsea systems, etc.).
  • Familiarity with offshore safety requirements, engineering assurance, and operational workflows.
  • Background in contractor management or multi?discipline coordination.
