Position: Planning and Scheduling Engineer III
Assignment Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands with some business trips to Guyana
Duration: 12 months renewable contract
Full time 5 days a week office based
Position Overview
Planning and Scheduling Engineer III is responsible for managing the Project Schedule and overseeing all aspects of the Progress Measurement System. This role ensures effective planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. The position plays a key role in identifying trends, risks, and deviations from plan, while supporting capital efficiency and project delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, monitor, and control the integrated Project Schedule in alignment with the Project Plan, WBS, and Current Control Estimate.
Establish and manage the Progress Measurement System, including verification, performance measurement, and reporting.
Review contractor schedules to ensure appropriate logic, sequencing, level of detail, integration, and interface alignment.
Define schedule requirements, standards, and issue frequencies for contractor schedule deliverables.
Analyze schedule performance, identify trends and variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain regular liaison with project teams and functional organizations.
Provide direction, technical guidance, and feedback to project planning and control engineers.
Support timely decision-making by responding to urgent schedule analysis requests.
Drive and promote capital efficiency through effective planning and schedule optimization practices.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
Experience
Proven experience in project controls with a focus on planning and schedule control.
Experience supporting large or complex capital projects is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and scheduling skills.
Proficiency in planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6 or equivalent).
Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to planning engineers.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
Adaptability to changing project priorities and environments.
Mobility
Willingness to work overseas and relocate to project sites as required.
