Power System Studies Engineers
Duration: 12 months renewable contract

Schedule: Monday - Thursday Office based Fridays home office
Salary: Rate - £65p/hr – Outside IR35
Power System Studies Engineers are sought for a technical assignment supporting onshore projects in a structured office-based environment with a remote working element. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to detailed engineering studies across power systems and related analysis.
Role Context
This position sits within power systems engineering and supports projects involving captive power generation, with or without grid connection. The role requires a strong technical approach to engineering studies and the ability to work with EMT software and ETAP software.

The Power System Studies Engineers role is focused on delivering power system studies that support project decision-making and engineering development. The role contributes to the assessment of electrical systems, study outputs, and vendor oversight where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Run power system studies for projects.
- Oversee third party vendors.
- Provide power system studies for projects including EMT software.
- Carry out studies covering equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit, dynamic motor starting, harmonic studies, arc flash and transient stability.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in captive power generation, with or without grid connection.
- Intermediate know-how using ETAP software.
- Ability to support onshore projects.
