Airswift is seeking a Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) Engineer to support new nuclear design and licensing
activities for advanced reactor projects. This role plays a critical part in risk?informed design, regulatory compliance,
and defense?in?depth evaluations for nuclear facilities. The position provides technical expertise in probabilistic risk
assessment, accident analysis, and regulatory decision?making to ensure safe, compliant, and optimized nuclear
plant designs
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and review
Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA/PRA) models
to support nuclear plant design, licensing, and operational decision?making.Perform
initiating event analysis, event sequence analysis, consequence analysis
, andquantitative uncertainty and sensitivity analyses
in accordance with industry standards.
Apply and interpret
ASME/ANS PRA standards (RA?S?1.4)
and applicable NRC, NEI, and EPRI guidance.Support
site licensing and construction permit activities
, including design reviews for advanced reactor technologies and design/build contracts.Provide
Owner’s Engineer oversight
, participating in design reviews, construction support, and independent technical assessments.Evaluate results from
PSA codes and accident analysis tools
, ensuring correct application to design and risk?informed decisions.Support
Fire PRA and Seismic PRA
evaluations and integrate results into the overall plant risk model.Identify and resolve risk?significant design, quality, or operational issues through the
Corrective Action / Condition Report (CR)
process.Provide
technical leadership, mentoring, and training
to engineers supporting PSA activities.Collaborate across engineering disciplines to support
schedule development, resource planning, and project execution

Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum experience level varies by role classification:
Engineer Staff: 1+ year engineering experience
Engineer Senior: 3+ years discipline?specific experience
Engineer Principal: 7+ years engineering experience
Strong technical background in Probabilistic Risk Assessment, accident analysis, and risk?informed decision making.
Working knowledge of PRA standards, regulatory guidance, and industry methodologies.
Familiarity with advanced nuclear reactor designs and large construction projects preferred.
Ability to work independently, provide technical judgment, and act as an advisor on complex engineering issues.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, licensing, and construction teams.
