Overview

We are currently recruiting a Principal SESA Engineer to lead and deliver significant transport projects in SEQ. Strong personal contacts within the QLD Rail industry, particularly operators and main contractors will be desirable, as would be exposure to other industries such as Defence and Energy.

Location-           Brisbane, QLD

Duration-           Permanent, Full-time

Hours-              Monday-Friday (Standard Hours)

Salary-             $190,000 - $210,000 + Super

Benefits-           Hybrid (1-2 Days WFH)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver high-quality Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance (SESA) services on major projects.
  • Define and manage system requirements, including stakeholder, system, subsystem, and interface requirements
  • Manage safety assessments, hazard analyses, risk assessments, and verification and validation processes in compliance with EN standards e.g. 50126/50128/50129).
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to engineers within the SESA team
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and project teams, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, assist with preparing bids, proposals

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or similar

  • Must be eligible for RPEQ status

  • 12+ years experience working directly as a SESA Engineer

  • Deep knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including EN 50126/50128/50129, IEC 61508, ISO 15288
