Airswift is currently partnering with a leading organisation to engage an experienced Procurement Category Adviser – Information Systems. This role is responsible for delivering value through the development and execution of sourcing strategies, category plans, contract management and supplier relationship management across a global Information Systems portfolio.
The position requires strong commercial capability, proven stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead complex procurement and negotiation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end?to?end sourcing and contract management activities across the Information Systems category.
- Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and deliver cost savings, efficiency improvements and value creation outcomes.
- Lead commercial negotiations, including preparation of negotiation strategies and fallback positions.
- Manage the performance, risks and compliance of assigned contracts in line with category strategies.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure alignment.
- Maintain accurate procurement and contract records within enterprise systems.
- Identify and mitigate supply and commercial risks to ensure continuity of supply.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, procurement policies and safety standards.
- Support initiatives that drive local and indigenous supplier participation where applicable.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement, category management and/or strategic sourcing.
- Strong experience in commercial negotiations, contract terms and supplier relationship management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different business functions and locations.
- High level of commercial acumen and analytical capability.
- Experience with procurement systems such as SAP and Coupa is desirable.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Law, Engineering or Supply Chain Management (desirable).
- CIPS certification or membership, or equivalent (desirable).
