About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with strong processing plant experience to join a permanent role. This role is well suited to a hands-on engineer with proven capability delivering work in processing plant environments, managing contractors, and driving project outcomes safely and efficiently.
Key Requirements
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day project engineering activities within a processing plant environment
- Support project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting activities
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate engineering, construction, and commissioning activities
- Provide technical input into design reviews, constructability assessments, and risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Interface effectively with site operations, maintenance, and other project stakeholders
- Assist with project documentation including ITPs, RFIs, progress reports, and handover packages
What you’ll need to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 6 – 8 years of experience ideally in Mechanical background and has worked on processing plants.
- Demonstrated experience working in processing plants (e.g. gold, copper,nickel and lithium)
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contractor management, and site execution
- High level of safety awareness with experience working on live or operational sites
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
