About the Role

We are seeking a Junior to Intermediate Project Engineer with experience in Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF) to support the delivery of offshore subsea construction projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to technically challenging work within a stable, collaborative project team delivering work across Australia with growing opportunities globally.

The position is well suited to an engineer looking to develop both technical depth and project delivery capability, working in an environment that values practical problem-solving, open communication, and team fit as much as technical expertise.

What Sets This Team Apart

  • Flat and accessible management structure where engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas and be heard
  • Supportive leadership focused on removing obstacles rather than creating them
  • Strong emphasis on team balance and collaboration, not just technical capability
  • A stable project team with low turnover and consistent resourcing
  • Growing regional and international workload providing long-term project continuity
  • Expanding vessel capabilities and subsea footprint, driving new project opportunities

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Delivery & Engineering Support

    1. Support the execution of SURF projects from tender through to offshore execution and close-out
    2. Assist with development and review of:

      1. Installation methodologies and analyses
      2. Procedures, work packs, schedules, and execution planning
    3. Review and manage engineering deliverables, drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
    4. Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, vessels, offshore teams, and subcontractors
  2. Offshore & Construction Support

    1. Provide engineering support during offshore installation campaigns as required
    2. Assist with mobilisation/demobilisation planning and offshore readiness
    3. Participate in HAZIDs, risk assessments, and constructability reviews
    4. Support subsea installation activities related to umbilicals, risers, flowlines (SURF), and associated structures
  3. Cost, Schedule & Stakeholder Management

    1. Assist with project cost tracking, progress reporting, and forecasting
    2. Support change management and variation assessments
    3. Contribute to internal and client reporting
    4. Work closely with project leadership who actively facilitate communication between disciplines and teams
  4. Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement

    1. Promote and actively contribute to a strong safety and quality culture
    2. Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements
    3. Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives

What’s On Offer

  • Long-term project stability within a well-resourced team
  • Exposure to complex subsea installation projects
  • Career development supported by experienced project leadership
  • Opportunity to grow alongside an expanding subsea and vessel portfolio

Only candidates with full working rights in Australia will be considered (Australian citizen or Permanent Resident).
