The Company

A global mining operator is looking to execute a mining non-process infrastructure project on their overseas mine. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support this project.

The Role

The Project Manager will cover the Camp Expansion, Warehouse expansion and other facility improvements. They will be accountable for managing the project lifecycle from Pre?Feasibility through Feasibility, FEED, long?lead procurement, detailed design and execution/construction, ensuring safe, cost?effective, and schedule?aligned delivery.

This role will be in the Brisbane office (1-2 WFH days per week) with ad-hoc travel (5 days each time) to the overseas mine site till completion of the project.

This role is only open to Brisbane based candidates.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the project in accordance with the Company’s Project Management System, including cost control, schedule management, progress reporting, and forecasting.
  • Lead Pre?Feasibility, Feasibility, and FEED phases, including development of scopes of work, execution strategies, and cost estimates to support investment decisions.
  • Manage and contract design, engineering, and cost estimation consultants to deliver Class 2 estimates and detailed design suitable for execution.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules (to Level 5), risk registers, and mitigation plans covering study, design, procurement, and construction phases.
  • Define and manage scope for non?process infrastructure upgrades, including accommodation, warehouse, workshops, and supporting site services.
  • Identify and manage requirements for investigations and enabling works, including geotechnical, civil, and survey inputs to support design development.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with site operations, technical functions, and corporate teams to ensure infrastructure solutions align with end?user and operational requirements.
  • Manage workforce demand planning and camp sizing assessments to support Life of Mine and construction requirements.
  • Lead long?lead item identification, procurement strategies, and early supplier engagement aligned with an EPC delivery model.
  • Develop the Project Execution Plan, execution strategy, and project resourcing model to transition efficiently into construction.
  • Support development of contracting strategy, tender evaluation, and contract award, and oversee execution through construction and commissioning.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is essential.
  • Proven project management experience delivering infrastructure or capital projects through full lifecycle phases in mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of EPC contracting models, execution planning, and contractor interface management.
  • Demonstrated capability in feasibility studies, cost estimation, risk management, and governance reporting.
  • Possess full Australian work rights and Brisbane based.
