Senior Project Manager – Electric Power Generation

Location: Calgary, AB (onsite)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3–6 month contract

About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex electric power and power generation projects in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineered solutions.

You’ll be managing projects end-to-end — from contract award through fabrication, testing, and final delivery — while acting as the main point of contact for clients and keeping everything moving on track.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead multiple power generation projects from kickoff through delivery and commissioning
  • Act as the main client contact — managing communication, expectations, and issue resolution
  • Own project performance: schedule, budget, forecasting, risk, and profitability
  • Coordinate across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams
  • Support contract reviews, scope definition, change management, and risk mitigation
  • Work closely with fabrication and shop teams to hit production milestones and resolve challenges
  • Run status meetings, provide progress updates, and keep stakeholders aligned
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and project delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • 10–15 years of project management experience in power generation, manufacturing, fabrication, EPC, or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong experience with engineered-to-order or custom manufacturing projects
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement processes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or similar (preferred)

Nice to Have

  • PMP certification
  • Experience with utility-scale power systems or modular fabrication
  • Familiarity with project controls (WBS, EVM, critical path)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools
