One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Project Manager IV to work on a 6 to 12-month assignment in their Facilities in Chicago, IL (Remote) .

1. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the strategic roadmap for company’s Mobility & Convenience (M&C) retail segment.
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize strategic initiatives across multiple workstreams.
  • Drive implementation of transformation initiatives using structured project management approaches.
  • Support overall business performance improvement within a major strategic transformation program.

2. Required Experience & Skills
1. Core Consulting Skills
 Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving

  • Ability to break down complex business problems into structured components.
  • Experience performing root-cause analysis, opportunity sizing, and scenario planning.
  • Comfortable synthesizing large datasets, insights, and stakeholder input into clear recommendations.

Analytical & Quantitative Skills

  • Skilled at building financial models, forecasting, performance metrics, and KPI dashboards.
  • Able to evaluate business cases, investment proposals, or strategic initiatives.
  • Experience translating quantitative findings into clear, actionable storylines.

 Executive-Ready Communication

  • Writes succinct, high-clarity slides, memos, and strategic deliverables.
  • Able to deliver C-suite-ready narratives grounded in data and evidence.
  • Experience presenting strategies, roadmaps, and recommendations to senior stakeholders

2. Transformation & Project Leadership Skills
Transformation Experience

  • Experience supporting or leading transformation programs — including operational, strategic, digital, or organizational change.
  • Skilled in identifying transformation workstreams, dependencies, and success measures.

 Project Management Expertise

  • Able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Creates charters, project plans, timelines, and milestone tracking.
  • Monitors progress, risks, issues, and interdependencies across teams.

 Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

  • Skilled at managing cross-functional teams and senior business partners.
  • Strong facilitation skills — able to align diverse viewpoints and drive consensus.
  • Ability to diplomatically challenge assumptions while maintaining trust.

Change Management

  • Familiarity with organizational change principles and transition planning.
  • Able to anticipate adoption barriers and prepare communications or training plans.

3. Industry & Domain Skills
 Energy / Oil & Gas (Nice-to-Have)

  • Understanding of downstream retail, convenience, fuel operations, or energy sector dynamics.
  • Familiarity with topics like retail transformation, mobility trends, or network optimization.

Retail (Nice-to-Have)

  • Insight into customer experience, retail operations, merchandising, or store performance.
  • Knowledge of trends in convenience retail, mobility hubs, or consumer behavior.

  • PowerPoint / Storyboarding (expert level)
  • Excel modeling & analysis
  • Project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, etc.)
  • Data visualization (Power BI or similar — optional but valuable)

5. Work Environment & Travel

  • Expected monthly travel: approximately one week per month in Cleveland.
  • Estimated 25% travel, primarily to Cleveland, with occasional additional U.S. locations if needed.
  • Role supports a large-scale transformation within company’s U.S. retail business.
