Qualification:
• Minimum higher National Diploma Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation engineering) (HND) or Diploma
• Higher educational qualification (i.e., BSc in Electrical / Instrumentation) is an advantage.
• Experience in quality Control in multi-discipline Electrical, instrumentation, HVAC construction and commissioning environment.
• Shall be CompEx or IECEx Certified.
• ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor is an advantage.
Experience:
• 10 years experience in quality control, inspection, or testing of electrical, telecommunication, or instrumentation systems, within oil and gas industry, with the minimum of 5 years offshore project experience.
• The candidate should have sound working knowledge on QC aspects and various testing requirements related to Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Electrical and Instrumentation Equipment, HVAC in Oil/Gas offshore projects.
• Shall be familiar with the international industry codes and standards related to intrinsically safe systems and electrical systems for instrumentation such as ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12., ANSI MC96.1, IEEE 518, IEEE 1100, IEC 60529, NEMA ICS 6, NEMA 250, NEMA VE 1, NEMA VE 2, NFPA 70/ National Electrical Code (NEC) and UL 94.Shall have working knowledge of electrical installations including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification for oil and gas, as applicable.
• Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of international codes and standards related to packaged units instrumentation such as, Distributed Control System (DCS), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems as relevant.
• Where inspection of cathodic protection equipment is required, inspector shall have knowledge of NACE or equivalent corrosion standards.
• Shall have knowledge and understanding of ISO-9001:2015 quality system requirements and implementation.
• Sound knowledge of international standards and regulations governing electrical, telecommunication, or instrumentation installations in hazardous areas (e.g., ATEX, IECEX, NEC)
• Calibration of instruments (i.e., control valves, pressure, and temperature transmitters, etc.).
