This full-time contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in Rotterdam, Netherlands, for a leading company dedicated to excellence in project execution.
Role Overview
- Review contractor inspection & test plans to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Review site job procedures related to Quality Control (QC).
- Coordinate the review of welding procedures with AP welding specialists.
- Establish coordination with site contractors/sub-contractors on inspection & testing per approved Inspection & Test Plans.
- Assist the Materials Manager with inwards material inspection for quality and traceability.
- Review and witness Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) as applicable.
- Attend required inspections on installation, welding, and other activities as per specifications and ITP.
- Advise the site team on technical questions related to mechanical/piping/welding.
- Conduct daily site walks/surveillance beyond Inspection & Test Plans.
- Control non-conformities at the site by issuing punch lists and non-conformity reports.
- Maintain inspection, non-conformity, NDE, and repair records data and statistics.
- Utilize AP SmartCompletions software to upload signed-off Inspection Test Records (ITRs).
- Monitor welding activities to ensure quality and safety.
- Identify and document welding defects and non-conformities.
- Collaborate with welders, engineers, and project managers to ensure quality control.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) as required and interpret radiographs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of piping, welding, and mechanical inspection processes.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education & Experience
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Welding.
- Certifications: CSWIP 3.1 Welding/CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector/IWI/IWE.
- PCN Level II certifications in Radiographic Interpretation, Liquid Penetrant Examination, Magnetic Particle Examination, Ultrasonic Examination.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in welding inspection and quality control.
